The pristine barrier islands that make up the Golden Isles lie halfway between Savannah and Jacksonville. This year-round haven is the perfect destination for beach lovers of all ages, plus the area offers abundant shopping, dining, and opportunities for outdoor adventure. Though many visitors enjoy the convenience of flying into one of our two county airports, there are plenty of travelers that prefer driving here. The area sees hundreds, if not thousands, of road trippers and RV enthusiasts who pass through for a glimpse of the Golden Isles on their way up or down the East Coast. In additional to luxury resort accommodations, our picturesque barrier islands offer plenty of places for those traveling by motorhome to spend a few days or a few weeks immersing themselves in the gorgeous nature of our Southern beaches.
